Ingredients to make Baked Mava Gujiya


For dough----


1 cup wheat flour

2 tablespoon Ghee

For filling----

1 cup coconut powder or grated coconut

1/2 cup mix nuts

1/2 cup brown Sugar

1 teaspoon Cardamom powder

Ghee for brushing


How to make Baked Mava Gujiya

Take flour and ghee in bowl.

Rub ghee in flour with your palms and make a dough with required  water

For filling----

Take ghee in pan Roast nuts  and take them out add coconut  and roast when it changes it's color switch off the gas.

Add sugar and mix in it

Then add cardmon powder, saffron and nuts

Let it cool

Now take the dough and knead it slightly.

Roll the dough and cut rounds with a cookie cutter.

I use gujiya mould and prepare all gujiya in it

Keep round in mould and add filling in one side then cover with other part close mould and press

In this way make all gujiya

Preheat the oven at 180 degrees centigrade.

Grease a tray with ghee, place all the gujiyas on the tray, brush them with ghee and bake them at 180 degrees celsius for 20-25 minutes.

Gujiya is ready to serve.

My Tip:

Can mix suji also.
