Mango modak
🎀Festivals are just ahead and mangoes are on peak of season..what else better then modak..traditional dish of Maharashtra and loved by all outside Maharashtra also.
🎀Ingredients--
2 alphonso mango
3/4 cup coconut powder
200 gram milkmaid
3 tbsp almond pista powder
1 tsp cardmon powder
Silver foil
Chopped pista
Mango sauce and scoops for garnish
🎀For mango sauce---
1/2 cup mango puree
2 tbsp sugar
2 drops of lemon juice
🎀Method--
Peel mangoes and chop
Blend them in mixer to a smooth paste
Strain it and keep aside
Heat nonstick pan and add coconut powder
Roast it on low flame for 2 min and transfer in a bowl keep aside
Now add mango puree in pan
Cook it for 2 min by constantly stirring it
Add milkmaid and mix it finely
Cook mix.for 2-3 min.till thick
Add dry fruit powder and coconut powder
Mix finely
Add cardmon powder
When mixture becomes thick turn of gas
Transfer mix In bowl
And let it cool completely
Take modak mould and fill mix in it
Shape it properly and take out from mould
Make all modak
Garnish with silver foil and pista and mango sauce
🎀For mango sauce add puree and sugar in pan and cook till sugar melts
When glaze come turn off gas
Add lemon juice
